New York, Oct 13: After missing the Nobel Peace Prize, US President Donald Trump has claimed to have resolved eight wars, including the one between India and Pakistan, saying, he did not do this for the Nobel. Trump has been claiming to resolve seven conflicts till now, including the one between India and Pakistan. However, he has now increased that figure to eight after adding the Israel-Gaza conflict. While talking to reporters on board Air Force One on Sunday, Trump also hinted at planning to resolve the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The US President also claimed that he resolved most of these wars “within a day.” “We saved millions of lives, think about India, Pakistan, think about some of the wars that were going on for years. Pak: Cop among 5 killed as authorities and Islamists clash
Islamabad, Oct 13: At least five people, including a police officer, were killed and dozens of officers injured when thousands of members of a radical Islamist group clashed with security personnel on Monday in Pakistan’s Punjab province, police said. Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) had launched its protest from Lahore on Friday with the announcement to march up to the US embassy in Islamabad and give a sit-in in support of the people of Gaza. The protesters succeeded in reaching Murdike, about 40 km from Lahore on the Grand Trunk Road, where the police stopped them while their leaders held talks with the authorities. All efforts to convince the protestors ended in a fiasco, and police launched an operation to clear the road and disperse the rioters.According to police, the operation lasted for about five hours and ended early Monday.
