RGU Chancellor conferred with EW Extraordinary Achievement in Education Leadership Award

Guwahati, Oct 15: In recognition of his sustained contributions to education, social welfare, and cultural harmony in Northeast India,  Dr A. K. Pansari, Chancellor of the Assam Royal Global University (RGU) and Chairman of Royal Global School, Guwahati, has been conferred the Education World Extraordinary Achievement in Education Leadership Award 2025–26.

The award was presented at a ceremony held in New Delhi today by Education World in association with the EW India School Rankings Awards (ISRA), according to a Press communique.

Expressing gratitude for the honour, the RGU Chancellor said, “This recognition by Education World is a reflection of our collective commitment to redefining the learning experience and empowering young minds to lead with knowledge, integrity, and compassion.”

Along with the award, Dr. Pansari has also been inducted into the Education World Hall of Fame of Indian Education, an honour reserved for leaders who have made a transformative impact on the educational landscape of the nation.

From a successful chartered accountant to a visionary educationist, Dr. A.K. Pansari has
dedicated his life to building institutions that blend academic excellence with human values.

Today, the Royal Group nurtures 13,000 students guided by 950 faculty members, offering
multidisciplinary education that encourages innovation, research, and holistic growth.

Under his leadership, the Group has emerged as a centre of learning from KG to PG to PhD that attracts students from across India and abroad.

Beyond education, Dr. Pansari’s philanthropic initiatives through the Gyan Sagar Foundation, the social arm of the Royal Group, have made a profound humanitarian impact. The Foundation has undertaken numerous welfare programmes including large-scale food
distribution drives (under their project Royal Anna Seva), free medical services, and relief
initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching thousands of lives in need.
