Marak said that the project is designed to provide a sustainable and reliable source of water for fisheries and agriculture, thereby benefiting the local communities.
With a total project cost of ₹95.25 lakh, it features a pond with a water spread area of 0.73 hectares, a catchment area of 19.46 hectares protected through afforestation, and a command area of 23.12 hectares — of which 20.87 hectares is under cultivation.
“This initiative will not only generate livelihood opportunities through fisheries and agriculture but also contribute to sustainable development and eco-tourism in the region,” the minister said.
