SHILLONG, Oct 21: In a bid to pay rich tribute to legendary Assamese artist Zubeen Garg on the completion of one month since his untimely demise, the Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students’ Association (SSASA) organised a Bird and Street Animal Feeding Drive on Sunday across various locations in Shillong.
The initiative was a heartfelt gesture to honour the late artist’s compassion towards all living beings and his enduring influence on humanity, music and culture.
The feeding drive was organised at Laitumkhrah, NEHU Campus, Dhankheti, Malki, Beat House, Laban, Bishnupur, Motinagar and several other areas.
Meanwhile, the association has expressed sincere gratitude to the organisation, Hopes for the Voiceless, for their collaboration and active participation in the drive.
The association also extended heartfelt thanks to all the students, volunteers and well-wishers for their contributions and dedication towards the initiative.
