4 injured after Shillong-bound vehicle skids off on NH-6

NONGPOH, Oct 24: An i20 car (registration number ML 05 L 2837), travelling towards Shillong from the Byrnihat side, skidded off National Highway-6 near Shangbangla on Friday evening, injuring all four occupants of the vehicle.
According to information gathered, the vehicle is suspected to have been moving at high speed when the driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a stretch of the road. The car first hit the highway divider before veering off to the side and overturning.
The front portion of the vehicle sustained extensive damage, and all four occupants, including the driver, suffered minor injuries.
Police personnel, along with local residents, immediately assisted in lifting the vehicle and rescuing the injured.
