City college hosts workshop on storytelling

SHILLONG, Oct 25: A one-day state-level workshop on ‘Find Your Voice: Storytelling for Confidence and Creativity’ was organised by Sankardev College on Thursday, which was attended by The 100 Story House founder, Jemimah Marak, as the resource person.
During the workshop, Marak introduced participants to the art and techniques of storytelling, the role of a storyteller in society and how storytelling serves as a powerful medium to relate to others and express oneself openly through words, sounds, voice modulation, gestures, facial expressions and body movements.
The session provided students with a platform to showcase their creativity through engagement in various group and individual storytelling activities.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participating teachers and students from different colleges were awarded certificates.
Additionally, students of Sankardev College who had successfully completed their internship programme at The 100 Story House were presented with completion certificates.
