Adele to make acting debut with Tom Ford’s Cry to Heaven
British singer-songwriter Adele is set to make her acting debut with Cry to Heaven, an upcoming feature film by former fashion designer Tom Ford. The singer, known for hit tracks such as Set Fire to the Rain and Someone Like You, will appear alongside Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany and Adolescence star Owen Cooper in the movie, reported Variety. Cry to Heaven is an adaptation of author Anne Rice’s 1982 novel, which is set in the 18th Century world of the ‘castrati’ – male singing stars who were castrated to preserve their high voices. The story follows two men, a Venetian noble and a castrated Opera singer, whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined. (PTI)
Salman arrives in Doha amid heavy security to perform for his live show
Superstar Salman Khan reached Qatar on Thursday ahead of his Da-Bangg: The Tour Reloaded in Doha, the capital of the country. The actor was surrounded by heavy security, and was accompanied by the head of his security, Shera. At the Doha airport, Salman was seen dressed in smart casuals, as he wore a pair of cream coloured pants, light thistle coloured t-shirt, and rounded up his look with a tan coloured jacket, and a cap. The actor sported a moustache, and was seen in his Galwan look. The superstar will be joined on stage by Tamannaah Bhatia, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Stebin Ben, Sunil Grover, Prabhu Deva, and Maniesh Paul for an electrifying evening that brings the magic of Bollywood to Doha’s biggest open-air stage. Meryl Streep-Hathaway return in teaser of The Devil Wears Prada 2
Hollywood studio 20th Century Studios has unveiled the first teaser of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2006 hit, starrung Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. The film will be released in Indian theatres on May 1, 2026, the studio said in a statement. The teaser, which dropped on social media on Wednesday evening, offers a brief glimpse of the long-awaited reunion, showing Streep’s formidable fashion editor Miranda Priestly and Hathaway’s Andy Sachs encountering each other in an elevator. Directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, the sequel also brings back actors Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. The new movie revisits the world of Runway magazine, now shaped by the fast-changing, high-stakes digital fashion industry. The story brings back Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel as they navigate new dynamics of ambition, influence and rivalry in present-day New York. (PTI)
