SHILLONG, Nov 14: Buoyed by its success in the Bihar Assembly elections, the Meghalaya BJP on Friday claimed that the results of the upcoming 2028 Assembly polls in the state will shock everyone.
BJP state president Rikman G. Momin said the party will definitely increase its count to double digits in the Assembly after the 2028 Assembly elections.
Asked about the new regional front taking shape in the Northeast, led by the NPP, the BJP chief said that the formation will not affect the party as the parties which are forming the front are all partners of the NDA.
“If they want to voice their concerns let them do it as they are with us only,” he said while adding that the outcome of the Bihar election indicates that the party will do well if it aligns with good regional parties.
Momin also said that the party is working hard for the GHADC polls while adding that Congress is nowhere in the country.
Supporters and leaders burst firecrackers outside the BJP office in the city to celebrate the stupendous victory in the Bihar polls.
