SHILLONG, Nov 19: Popular playback singers in Bollywood, Neeti Mohan and Kanika Kapoor, are set to perform at the Me’gong Festival 2025, scheduled to be held in Garo Hills on December 5 and 6.
Organisers confirmed that the two celebrated singers will headline the event, which has grown into one of Meghalaya’s most prominent cultural showcases.
Neeti Mohan, known for chart-topping hits such as Ishq Wala Love, Jiya Re, Nainowale Ne and Kheech Meri Photo will take the stage on the opening day of the festival. Event organisers added that an international artist for Day 1 will be announced shortly.
On Day 2, Kanika Kapoor—famous for blockbuster tracks including Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Lovely, and Jugni Ji—will perform for festival-goers. Her high-energy style has made her one of Bollywood’s most recognised and loved voices. A second international performer for the closing day will also be revealed in the coming days.
The 2025 edition is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across India, creating significant opportunities for local artisans, entrepreneurs, and businesses, while strengthening the tourism ecosystem of the region.
Details on ticket availability, a full event schedule, and announcements of international acts will be released soon through the Meghalaya Tourism website and official social media platforms.
The festival aims to promote regional pride, cultural preservation, and wider visibility for the Garo Hills by bringing together diverse elements of music, art, cuisine, and heritage.
