The conference, which is part of a national series leading up to the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, will also feature a roundtable discussion between the Chief Minister and leading investors, aimed at positioning Meghalaya as an emerging digital and innovation hub for Eastern India.
It will be hosted by the Meghalaya government in collaboration with the IndiaAI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.

The state’s Information Technology & Communications department is the nodal department for hosting the event, while IIM Shillong has been selected as the Knowledge Partner.
Themed “AI for CE (Artificial Intelligence for Citizens’ Empowerment): Smarter Governance, Better Lives),” the event will bring together senior government officials, industry leaders, global technology firms, academic institutions, and startups to deliberate on the transformative role of AI in climate resilience, effective governance, and building safer and more equitable societies.
The IndiaAI Mission team will also conduct a session to showcase AI-related initiatives undertaken by the Government of India.
In addition to the main sessions, parallel activities in the Showcase Arena will provide a platform for stakeholders to demonstrate AI initiatives and innovations, participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions, and network with like-minded individuals and organisations.
An exhibition at the venue will showcase AI and emerging technology initiatives from various government organisations, industry partners, and research and academic institutions.
