Influencer Orry fails to appear before Mumbai police in drugs case
Summoned in connection with a drug seizure case, Bollywood socialite and influencer Orry’ alias Orhan Awatramani on Thursday sought time till November 25 to appear before Mumbai Police, an official said Orry had been summoned by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) after his name allegedly cropped up during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, a key accused in a Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure case. According to the police, Shaikh has claimed that certain film, fashion celebrities, a politician, and a kin of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim participated in the rave parties organised by him. As Orry was among the people named by Shaikh, he was summoned to record his statement on Thursday. But he failed to appear and sent his lawyer who sought time till November 25, the official said. Shaikh, also known asLavish’ due to his lavish lifestyle, was deported from Dubai last month. He was a close aide of gangster Salim Dola who was allegedly involved in mephedrone manufacturing and distribution in India. Initially Shaikh was arrested in the Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure from a drug factory in Maharashtra’s Sangli last year. Subsequently, the Ghatkopar unit of the ANC arrested him. (PTI)
Sonam Kapoor expecting second child with Anand Ahuja
Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor announced on Thursday she is expecting her second child with businessman husband Anand Ahuja. The 40-year-old actor shared the news with a post on her Instagram story. It featured the actor dressed in a magenta co-ord set, holding her baby bump. She completed the look with a matching bag, stockings and sunglasses. Sharing the picture, Kapoor wrote, “Coming Spring 2026.” Kapoor, known for featuring in films such as Neerja, Raanjhanaa and Delhi 6, tied the knot with Ahuja in 2018. They welcomed their first child, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, in August 2022. (PTI)
Tom Cruise shares BTS pictures with Alejandro Inarritu from upcoming film
Hollywood action star Tom Cruise shared a picture alongside Oscar-winning director Alejandro G Inarritu on his social media and said he is excited for their upcoming film. Tom and Alejandro are collaborating on an untitled film from Warner Bros, which is set to release in theatres on October 2, 2026. It marks Inarritu’s first English-language film since the Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer The Revenant in 2015. The project will also be the first non-action film for Tom after 13 years, following his work in the 2012 Rock of Ages. The upcoming film is about the “most powerful man in the world” who embarks on a “frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything”. (PTI)
Demi Lovato speaks up on the pressures of getting married
Singer-songwriter Demi Lovato is opening up on the pressure of tying the knot. She shared that she was “expected to be married by a certain age”. The 33-year-old singer married Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes earlier this year, and she confessed that she felt some pressure to tie the knot during her younger years, reports Female First UK. The chart-topping star told Who What Wear, “I had expected to be married by a certain age. There’s all this pressure that society puts on you, but it just organically happened. I’m really happy. I told my husband today, ‘I’ve never been more in love with you. I didn’t know my love could grow for you more so than it already has’. The timing was perfect”.
