Fulham climbed to 14th with the win, while Sunderland slipped to sixth after a largely uninspired display.
Crystal Palace moved into the top four after a commanding 2-0 win away at Wolverhampton Wanderers, spoiling new Wolves manager Rob Edwards’ homecoming. Second-half goals from Daniel Munoz and Yeremy Pino reflected Palace’s dominance, while Wolves’ miserable run continued as they remained winless in the league and rooted to the bottom of the table, edging uncomfortably close to the Premier League record for the longest winless start to a season.
