The NEEPCO Tribal Employees Welfare Association (NTEWA) held its 9th Biennial Conference at its Corporate Headquarter in Shillong on November 22. Delegates from NEEPCO’s various projects throughout the Northeastern region participated and selected new office-bearers for its central body. Bobby Vinton Kharlyngdoh was selected as the president and Nabam Nagu as the general secretary along with other office-bearers representing almost all the major tribes of the Northeast. A cultural programme was held in the evening showcasing the rich heritage of tribals in the form of dance and songs.
