SEBI mulls simpler framework for issuing duplicate securities

NEW DELHI, Nov 26: SEBI plans to raise the simplified documentation limit for duplicate securities from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, introduce a common affidavit, apply state-based stamp duty, and have companies issue loss advertisements, aiming to ease compliance, promote dematerialisation, and unlock paper-held wealth. Comments due by Dec 16. (PTI)
