Shillong, Nov 29: Shillong Cricket Academy fell short in their defence of 110 as Sohtyngab stitched together a composed run chase to seal a four-wicket victory in their latest clash.
Batting first, Shillong Cricket Academy were bundled out for 110 in their full quota of 20 overs. Prateek Kr Rajak top-scored with a fighting 45, while brief contributions from Iaishanbha Khongji (14) and Shidhant Rana (17) provided some stability. The innings, however, never gathered real momentum as Sohtyngab’s bowlers kept striking at regular intervals. Nathaniel (2/9) was the pick of the attack with an economical spell, supported by Dameshua’s crucial double strike.
In reply, Sohtyngab endured an early wobble but found their anchor in Willborn, whose unbeaten 66 off 42 balls — packed with seven fours and four sixes — turned the chase into a formality. From 5/1 to 39/3, the pressure was briefly on, but Willborn’s dominance ensured the scoreboard kept ticking.
