MAWKYRWAT, Nov 30: A minor boy, aged 12-13 years, died on the spot after he fell off a moving bus which crushed him under its wheels.
Police officials on Sunday said the incident took place on Saturday morning at Lower Puksora under Ranikor Civil Sub-Division in which a minor boy identified as Eveningstar P. Marak accidentally fell from the bus and the bus ran over him. The minor died on the spot.
Officials also informed that after getting information, police from Gumaghat Check Post rushed to the spot for inquiry.
According to police, the boy was standing on the footboard of the bus and was holding the handle with one hand when he lost balance and fell.
The inquest and other formalities were observed at the place of occurrence and the bus has been seized, officials said, adding that a case has been registered at Ranikor Police Station.
