Sean “Diddy” Combs has strongly criticised Netflix’s upcoming documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning, calling it a “shameful hit piece” built on “stolen footage” and claiming his words were taken out of context, a spokesperson told Variety.
The teaser features a 2024 phone call linked to his legal case, though Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Netflix maintains it obtained the footage legally and holds the necessary rights.
Combs’ team also criticised 50 Cent’s involvement, calling him a longtime adversary with a personal vendetta.
The docuseries, premiering December 2, chronicles Combs’ rise in the music industry, the empire he built with Bad Boy Entertainment, and the controversies surrounding his personal and professional life, using interviews and previously unseen archival footage. (ANI)
