JERUSALEM, Dec 4: House Democrats on the Oversight Committee have released previously unseen photos and videos from Jeffrey Epstein’s private Little St. James Island in the US Virgin Islands, providing new insight into the luxurious settings where the convicted sex offender carried out decades of abuse.
The images show bedrooms, bathrooms, a dentist’s chair with masks on the wall, and a landline phone with speed-dialed first names, while videos capture the sprawling estate with a swimming pool, palm trees, winding paths, and a study with a blackboard marked with words like “power,” “deception,” and “political.” Names of women were redacted for caution.
The release follows President Donald Trump signing a bill compelling the Justice Department to make Epstein-related documents public, which are expected soon.
Rep. Robert Garcia, top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said the visuals aim to ensure transparency and assist in reconstructing Epstein’s crimes.
Epstein privately owned Little St. James and Great St. James islands, using them to host influential associates while operating his sex-trafficking network largely out of public view.
The islands have long been a focus of investigators studying Epstein’s criminal activities.
The Oversight Committee has also requested documents from the USVI Attorney General regarding Epstein’s local tax breaks, law enforcement settlements, and the 2020 investigation into his operations.
The release of these photos and videos underscores ongoing congressional efforts to examine Epstein’s abuses, his connections to powerful individuals, and systemic failures that allowed his crimes to continue unchecked for years. (Agencies)
