Jessica Rymbai has been awarded PhD in Sociology for her thesis entitled ‘Authority in Religious Organisations: A Sociological Study of Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Sepngi’, which she completed under the supervision of Prof. Biswambhar Panda of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. She is the daughter of Johny Kharkongor and Onima Rymbai, and a resident of Nongrah, Dongktieh, Shillong.
F. Phibawanlang Kharpan has been awarded PhD in Geography by North-Eastern Hill University for her thesis entitled ‘Spatio-Temporal Analysis of Urban Growth and Quality of Life in Shillong Urban Agglomeration’, which she completed under the supervision of Dr. S Purkayastha. She is the daughter of (L) Fairlyvan Field Kharkrang and Lily Kharpan, and the wife of Beneficial Rani.
