Tura, Dec 22: The 4th Koch Youth Festival 2025 was recently organized by the Meghalaya Koch Students’ Union (MKSU) at Kuligaon in South West Garo Hills district under the theme “Strengthening Our Roots, Our Rhythm and Our Future.”

The two-day festival which brought together students, youths, community leaders, cultural practitioners and dignitaries to deliberate on Koch identity, language, culture and developmental concerns, was attended by Mahandraganj MLA Sanjay A Sangma as the Chief Guest and Betasing MDC Sanjay Koch as the Guest of Honour.

A memorandum demanding minor irrigation facilities at Kuligaon, repair of damaged PWD roads, grant-in-aid with land for an office-cum-library for MKSU in Tura, and grant-in-aid for an office-cum-library for the Patijora Zonal Committee of MKA was also submitted to the MLA on the occasion.
