Shillong, Dec 27: John F. Kharshiing has been elected as one of the Vice Presidents of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) Governing Body for the 2025–2029 term, following the Association’s General Body meeting held at Zirakpur in Punjab’s Mohali district.
Kharshiing’s election places him among the key office bearers who will shape the future course of Indian shooting over the next four years. Alongside him, Neil Sootinck was elected as a Member of the Executive Committee, completing an important phase of the NRAI’s leadership selection process.The newly constituted Governing Body and Executive Committee will be tasked with guiding the Association’s strategic and administrative direction, with an emphasis on strengthening governance and accelerating the growth of shooting sports across the country. The NRAI reaffirmed its commitment to promoting excellence and transparency while expanding opportunities for talent development from the grassroots to the international level.
The Association congratulated the newly elected members and expressed confidence that their leadership and experience would play a crucial role in further advancing Indian shooting during the 2025–2029 tenure.
