SHILLONG, Dec 29: Prof (Dr) Ananya Das, an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, received the prestigious ‘Dr. Jagadishwari Mishra Oration’ award for Surgery and Medicine.
Prof Das was honored for her outstanding contributions during the 100th All India Medical Conference (IMA NATCON 2025), held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on December 27 and 28.
Delivering the oration, Prof Das spoke on “The Problem Statement and the need to Preserve Uterus,” a lecture that was widely acclaimed by attendees.
NEIGRIHMS Director Prof Nalin Mehta congratulated Dr Das on her achievement, stating that such national recognition highlights the institute’s strong position in academic excellence and patient care throughout the region.
