Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet has made history with his third Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role as table tennis prodigy Marty Mauser in Josh Safdie’s sports dramedy Marty Supreme. At 30, he becomes the youngest male actor to earn three acting nominations, following nods for Call Me by Your Name and A Complete Unknown. This year, Chalamet is also nominated for Best Picture as a producer, becoming the youngest ever double-nominated for acting and producing in the same year, surpassing Warren Beatty’s 58-year-old record. Marty Supreme received additional nominations, including Best Original Screenplay. Chalamet has already won the Golden Globe for Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) and last year claimed the SAG Best Actor award. If he wins the Oscar, he would be the second-youngest Best Actor winner behind Adrien Brody. (IANS)
