KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Nepal’s government has extended the tenure of the three-member commission probing excessive force during last year’s Gen Z protests by 25 days, now set to end on March 11.
Led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki, with members former AIGP Bigyan Raj Sharma and legal expert Bishweshwor Bhandari, the commission has taken statements from around 170 people, including ex-PM K.P.
Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
The September 2025 protests against corruption and nepotism left at least 77 dead. (PTI)
