Bihar MLC, Shullai discuss Union Budget’s impact on M’laya

SHILLONG, Feb 12: Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) member Devesh Kumar met Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday to discuss the implications of the recently passed Union Budget for the state and the wider Northeast region.
The meeting focused on key budgetary provisions and their potential impact on youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs. The two leaders discussed how these measures could drive regional development and specifically benefit Meghalaya.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kumar described the Union Budget as “inclusive and forward-looking,” asserting that it addresses the needs of all sections of society. He added that the Budget reflects the Centre’s commitment to balanced growth, social welfare, and economic expansion.
