Field day on rapeseed in South Garo Hills

TURA, Feb 12: A field day on Rapeseed was conducted on Thursday at Warima village in Chokpot, South Garo Hills, to promote scientific cultivation and integrated farming practices.
Organised under the CFLD (Oilseeds) and AICRP on Rapeseed-Mustard Scheme (NEH component), the programme saw the participation of 20 local farmers. To enhance crop productivity through improved pollination, bee boxes were distributed to the participants.
The event concluded with an interactive session between scientists and farmers, focusing on knowledge exchange and sustainable techniques to expand rapeseed cultivation in the region.
