The Red Lorry Film Festival (RLFF), curated by BookMyShow, is set to showcase over 120 films, blending world premieres, restored classics, and tributes to cinematic legends.
Festival director Ashish Saksena revealed that the festival will feature a retrospective of acclaimed filmmaker Pradip Krishen, screening In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones—lost for 37 years and recently premiered at Berlin—alongside Electric Moon and Massey Sahib.
Both Krishen and writer Arundhati Roy are slated to attend for masterclasses and events.
The festival will pay tribute to the late Dharmendra with a 4K screening of his 1969 classic Satyakam, considered one of his finest performances.
Other tributes include the 25th anniversary of Sunny Deol’s Gadar, Agatha Christie’s 50th death anniversary with films like Death on the Nile, as well as homages to Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally) and Sean Connery (Diamonds Are Forever).
RLFF will also feature international films, including Oscar-nominated entries such as Hamnet, Sirat, and Sentimental Value, along with Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice and the cult classic Oldboy.
For film enthusiasts, a “then and now” experience will highlight Barsaat Ki Raat (1960) and its influence on later works like Dhurandar.
The three-day festival runs from March 13–15 at INOX Maison, Jio World Drive Plaza, BKC, with satellite screenings at PVR ICON, PVR City Mall, PVR Dynamix, and Cinepolis Fun Republic, offering a celebration of cinema spanning decades and genres. (PTI)
