The must-win fixture is scheduled for Thursday (February 26) at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium, where India are expected to go all out in a bid to keep their T20 World Cup semi-final hopes alive. However, the team will now have to regroup without one of their explosive middle-order options, at least for the moment.
According to sources within the camp, Rinku has returned home due to a family emergency. The timing of his departure adds to India’s mounting concerns following their bruising 76-run defeat to South Africa last weekend at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
