Office-bearers
The Synjuk of Waheh Shnongs of East Jaintia Hills district, a traditional apex organisation, held a meeting to elect new office bearers for the term 2026-2029. The meeting, Waheh Shnong Khliehriat West, was conducted by Justine Dkhar as pro tem chairperson at the Wika Conference Hall, Khliehriat, on Saturday. During the meeting, office-bearers and executive committee members were elected, viz. Jesper Bareh (president), Wilbert Nongtdu and Dras Siangshai (vice presidents), Leningstar Rymbai (secretary), Deibor Suchiang (assistant secretary), Postling Dkhar ( joint secretary), Shillong Dkhar (financial secretary), Daman Lamo (publicity secretary) and Justine Dkhar (adviser). At the same time, ten executive members of the Synjuk were also elected.
