DCC Meeting Emphasises Convergence and Data Sharing in South West Garo Hills

Tura, Mar 3: The District Coordination Committee (DCC) Meeting for South West Garo Hills District was held on March 3, 2026, at the DRDA Conference Hall, Ampati, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Anendya Raajsshre, IAS. The meeting stressed enhanced coordination, data sharing, and convergence among line departments to ensure effective implementation of Government schemes and improved service delivery across the district.
Chairing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner underscored infrastructure development and essential service delivery as priority areas. All line departments implementing schemes were directed to share relevant data and progress reports with the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to strengthen monitoring mechanisms, avoid duplication of efforts, and ensure better outcomes at the grassroots level.
Convergence with BDOs was particularly emphasised in the implementation of MGNREGA, PMAY, and MSRLS programmes.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Project Director, DRDA, Raymond Z D Shira, called upon departments to adopt a convergence-based approach and work collectively for the smooth and successful execution of schemes throughout the district.
Key agenda items discussed during the meeting included presentation of departmental achievements for the Financial Year 2024–25 through concise PowerPoint presentations, review of departmental and inter-departmental issues, including bank-related matters; submission of lists of Departmental Guest Houses and Inspection Bungalows (IBs), matters relating to CM Connect in the district and intimation of vacancies to the District Selection Committee (DSC).
The meeting concluded with a reiteration of the importance of coordinated efforts, transparency, and accountability among all departments to ensure efficient service delivery and overall development of South West Garo Hills District.
