SAI DG reviews infra for 2027 National Games

SHILLONG, March 7: Sports Authority of India (SAI) Director General and Union Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan visited Meghalaya on Friday to assess the state’s readiness for the 39th National Games in 2027.
Accompanied by Commissioner and Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs Dr Vijay Kumar D and other department officials, Ranjan inspected key venues earmarked for the event. The team visited the JN Stadium, the Integrated Hospitality Sports Complex, the SAI Centre, rowing and sailing facilities at Umiam, and the kayak canoe slalom course at Umthan village.
Officials stated that the visiting delegation expressed satisfaction with the upkeep of the venues and commended the ongoing preparations.
