Shillong, March 10: Donkin CC secured a commanding 93-run win over Metallica Rising CC in the Late P.A. Sangma Memorial T20 Trophy 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, thanks to a sensational century from Rahul Shah.
Batting first after winning the toss, Donkin CC piled up 210 for 4 in 17 overs. Shah smashed a blistering 110 off just 30 balls, while Rohit Rai added 44 from 29 deliveries. For Metallica Rising CC, Abid Khan took 2 for 26 and Sanjeev Chettri claimed one wicket.Chasing a steep target, Metallica Rising CC were restricted to 117 for 8 in 17 overs. Binay Rai scored 31 and Abid Khan made 30, but Donkin’s bowlers kept control. Heimon Lyngdoh took 3 for 21, while Shah picked up 2 for 24 to cap an excellent all-round display and was named Player of the Match. In another match, Langsning XI edged Winds CC by six runs in a close contest. Batting first, Langsning XI scored 147 for 9 in 20 overs, with Bishal Roy making 67 and Mrinal Das adding 27. Pritam Singh (4/20) and Lokesh Turaha (3/34) were the pick of the Winds bowlers.
Winds CC replied with 141 for 8, falling just short despite Aditya Mahala’s 53 and Bishnu Mahato’s 28. Nishanta Chakraborty (3/20) and Aaron Nongrum (2/25) led Langsning’s bowling effort. Roy was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.
