GUWAHATI, March 11: The ICC T-20 World Cup may be over, but fans in the Northeast have a cricket feast in store as some of biggest teams in the Indian Premier league take the field at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium in Barsapara here, come March 30.
The ACA Stadium will host three matches of the upcoming season of the IPL 2026, featuring Rajasthan Royals in all of them.
On March 30, Rajasthan Royals will take on Chennai Super Kings; followed by a match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians on April 7. Three days later, Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
ACA on Wednesday expressed its sincere gratitude to the BCCI for once again entrusting Guwahati with the opportunity to host matches of the world’s most celebrated T20 league.
“The return of the IPL to Guwahati is expected to bring immense excitement among cricket lovers across Assam and the Northeast. ACA Stadium is set to witness a vibrant atmosphere filled with passionate fans and thrilling cricketing action,” a statement issued by ACA chief executive officer Pritam Mahanta said.
