Shillong, March 11: Marbisu CC beat Hurdles CC Mawsynram by 23 runs in Match 35 of the 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association, on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, Marbisu CC posted 140 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Hameki Susngi top-scored with 64 off 38 deliveries, anchoring the innings. For Hurdles CC Mawsynram, Sando B Rapsang impressed with the ball, claiming three wickets for 16 runs in his four-over spell.
Chasing 141 for victory, Hurdles CC struggled against disciplined bowling and were bowled out for 117 in 19 overs. Nangsan S Kynter was the highest scorer with 35 off 28 balls. Richard C Diengdoh starred with the ball for Marbisu CC, taking three wickets for 17 runs in four overs to guide his team to victory. Hameki was named Player of the Match for his explosive batting.
In Match 35, Thynroit CC defeated Saitsohpen Veteran Legend by six wickets.
Saitsohpen Veteran Legend, after winning the toss and electing to bat, were bundled out for 105 in 15.1 overs. Ivan Maxwell Basaiamoit was the top scorer with 24 runs off 22 balls. Adilbert Shabong delivered a devastating spell for Thynroit CC, claiming four wickets for 9 runs in four overs. In reply, Thynroit chased down the target with relative ease, scoring 105 for 4 in 15.1 overs. Kerlang Nongrum top top-scored with 30 runs from 30 deliveries. For Saitsohpen Veteran Legend, Nangteibhalang Hynniewta picked up 1 wicket for 15 runs in four overs. Aleric Wanswet was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
