Kate Winslet in talks to star in Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum
Hollywood star Kate Winslet is moving from one fantasy land to another. The actor, who just recently reunited with her Titanic director James Cameron for Avatar: Fire and Ash, is in talks to star in Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. Winslet will join Andy Serkis in the movie, who is directing and reprising his popular role from the original Peter Jackson trilogy, reported Variety. Warner Bros. hasn’t confirmed who will appear in the upcoming film, but Elijah Wood and Ian McKellen are reportedly reprising their roles as Frodo Baggins and Gandalf, respectively. Jackson, who originally adapted the J. R. R. Tolkien’s novel for the big screen, is producing the film with his creative partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. The Hunt for Gollum also reunites Winslet with Jackson after they last worked together in 1994’s Heavenly Creatures. The film is slated to release in theaters on December 17, 2027. (PTI)
Billie Eilish to star in movie adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar
Singer Billie Eilish is set to make her film acting debut with Sarah Polley’s film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. Polley won the best adapted screenplay Oscar for her 2023 movie Women Talking. This movie will be her first project since 2023, reported Variety. A Eilish is also a two-time Oscar winner for co-writing the original songs for Barbie and No Time to Die with her brother Finneas. The Bell Jar is the semi-autobiographical story that American writer-poet Plath wrote in her short life. The story revolves around a young woman’s descent into mental illness that’s also driven by the societal expectation. (PTI)
Kylie Jenner expresses wish to have more kids
Reality star Kylie Jenner has shared that she would like to welcome more children. The 28-year-old media personality is focusing on herself before she hits the big 3-0 on August 10, 2027, amid having thoughts about giving her daughter Stormi, eight, and son Aire, four, another sibling. Kylie, who has her children with her 34-year-old ex-partner, rapper-and-singer Travis Scott. She told ‘Vanity Fair’ magazine, “In the last years of my 20s, I want to focus on just me, my businesses, my work, travelling with my kids, enjoying my kids, and then I do want to have more kids”. Following her split from Travis in January 2023, Kylie has been in a relationship with ‘Marty Supreme’ actor Timothee Chalamet, who has previously said he wants to be a dad. (ANI)
