Dhurandhar 7.5-hr director’s cut to hit theatres on April 5?

Rumours around filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s ambitious 7.5-hour director’s cut of Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, have sparked curiosity online, with claims suggesting a limited theatrical release on April 5.
As per reports, the extended version combines the duology Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge has surfaced through a CBFC certificate dated March 31, 2026.
However, when IANS reached out to the makers, they were unavailable for comment. There is still no clarity or official statement regarding the ongoing news. As per a source close to IANS, this could also be an April Fool’s joke.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film will be showcased in premium formats including IMAX and Dolby Cinema, with select theatres hosting two shows per weekend.
Originally envisioned and shot as a single film, the project was later split into two parts for its theatrical release due to its length. The curated director’s cut stitches the narrative back together, offering a seamless and more immersive viewing experience spanning 450 minutes.
The screenings reportedly will feature three intervals, English subtitles, and technical enhancements such as clearer vocals.
Talking about Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the film, as of March 30, it raked in a staggering Rs. 1,365 crore worldwide since its release on March 19.
A tweet from the film’s banner Jio Studios on X shared a day-wise break-up that the Ranveer Singh-starrer collected Rs. 867 crore in India NBOC, with a strong hold beyond its opening week, adding Rs. 53 crore on Day 8, Rs. 42 crore on Day 9, Rs. 64 crore on Day 10, and Rs. 71 crore on Day 11.
Globally, the film has amassed a whopping Rs. 1,365 crore gross, including Rs. 1,023 crore from India and Rs. 342 crore from overseas markets. (IANS)

Priyanka heaps praise on Dhurandhar 2

Adding to the chorus of appreciation, global star Priyanka Chopra took to social media to commend the film and its cast. Referring to Ranveer Singh as her friend, she congratulated him and the team for their work. In her post, she wrote, ‘Congratulations mere dost @ranveersingh… Aditya, you’re a man with a mission. Dhurandhar in every way is a revelation. Thank you all for your artistry.’ (Agencies)
