Shillong, April 6: Shillong Lajong FC will look to continue their impressive run when they take on Dempo SC in a crucial Indian Football League fixture at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda, Goa on Tuesday.
The match, scheduled for 6:30 PM, marks Lajong’s fourth consecutive away outing, yet the side has shown remarkable composure on the road. With 11 points from six matches, the Meghalaya outfit has built steady momentum, and a victory in this encounter could propel them to the top of the table.
Head coach Birendra Thapa sounded confident ahead of the clash but remained cautious of the challenge posed by the Goan side.“Dempo are a quality team despite their recent results. We respect them and will approach the game with full focus and discipline,” Thapa said.
For Lajong, the stakes are significant. A win would not only boost their title aspirations but also strengthen their push for a place in the Championship Round of Stage 2, keeping their campaign firmly on track.
The match will be telecast live on Sony Sports Network and Doordarshan Sports, with live streaming available on Sony LIV and Waves.
