SHILLONG, April 9: Construction is underway on the Khasimara bridge at Ryngku to improve connectivity within the landlocked Mawsynram constituency.
Local MLA Ollan Sing Suin, who recently inspected the site, stated that the bridge will connect Ryngku with Dangar and other nearby border villages.
The project is being built at a cost of Rs 124 crore. The 100-metre composite structure is designed to improve transportation and alleviate the difficulties residents face, particularly during medical emergencies.
According to the MLA, the project is expected to be completed by March 2027.
