Rajat Kapoor on balancing acting and direction
Actor-director Rajat Kapoor says balancing acting and directing comes naturally to him, even while working on his latest streaming film Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa. In an interview, he said the real challenge is managing multiple actors and ensuring balanced performances rather than appearing on screen himself. Kapoor, who directs and acts in the ensemble film, explained that handling 18 actors and maintaining narrative flow was more demanding than being in front of the camera. He also noted that each of his projects, including Aankhon Dekhi, RK/RKay, and Mithya, exists in a different creative universe, requiring complete immersion. Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa, streaming on ZEE5, is a suspense drama about a celebratory gathering that turns tense after a murder, exposing hidden conflicts and suspicions among friends and family.
