Jaipur, April 25: Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma added another milestone to his growing IPL career by surpassing former captain Kane Williamson to become the franchise’s third-highest run-scorer in Indian Premier League history.
The landmark came during SRH’s IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals, where Abhishek played a fluent knock of 57 off just 29 deliveries, striking 11 fours and a six at an impressive strike rate of over 196.With that innings, Abhishek took his overall tally for Sunrisers Hyderabad to 2,133 runs from 82 matches and 79 innings at an average of 29.21 and a strike rate of 169.28. His record for the franchise now includes two centuries and two fifties, with a highest score of 141 not out.In doing so, he moved past Williamson, who had scored 2,101 runs for SRH in 76 matches and 75 innings at an average of 36.22 and a strike rate of over 126, including 18 half-centuries with a best of 89 not out.Former SRH captain David Warner continues to lead the franchise’s all-time run-scoring charts with 4,014 runs in 95 matches, followed by another senior batter ahead of Abhishek in second place.
