INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE | MOST RUNS IN A DAY: 986 RUNS, 59 SIXES ON APRIL 25
MATCH TODAY – GUJARAT TITANS VS ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU AT 7:30 PM
Ahmedabad, April 29: Royal Challengers Bengaluru head coach Andy Flower rated a varied bowling attack which is adept in “exploiting different surfaces” as his side’s biggest asset in the ongoing edition of the IPL.
After dismantling Delhi Capitals in the previous match at New Delhi, the defending champions are now set to face Gujarat Titans at the sprawling Narendra Modi Stadium here on Thursday.
“We’ve been very good at taking power play wickets and putting opposition under pressure. We’re comfortable with whatever conditions are put in front of us. We believe we have an attack that can exploit different surfaces,” said Flower in the pre-match press meet here on Wednesday.
Flower might have had the outstanding opening burst by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood against the DC, where the pacers combined to reduce the home side to eight for six inside the power play segment.“We’ve got a good mix, experienced swing bowlers, a world-class fast bowler in Hazlewood, and spinners who bring different skill sets. That variety gives us strong options in different phases of the game,” he added. (PTI)
