SHILLONG, May 1: A local court on Friday rejected the bail application of Raj Khuswaha, the second accused in the murder of Indore resident Raja Raghuvanshi in Sohra last year.
Legal counsel Phuyosa Yobin stated that the plea was dismissed on technical grounds and confirmed that a fresh bail application would be filed before the court.
The application was moved following the grant of bail to the prime accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is accused of having murdered her husband during their stay in Sohra.
The case had sparked widespread outrage and drew national attention when the details of the crime first emerged.
