Ambulance carrying body overturns on NH-6, several hurt

NONGPOH, May 2: An ambulance carrying a body overturned along NH-6 in Nongpoh early Saturday morning, reportedly due to overspeeding.
According to sources, the ambulance (ML05 X 8518), was on its way to transport the body from NEIGRIHMS to West Garo Hills when the incident occurred at around 6 am. A few occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the mishap.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for treatment. The body was later transported to West Garo Hills in another ambulance.
