MBoSE declares HSSLC results for Arts, Science and Commerce

SHILLONG, May 4: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Monday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations for the Science, Commerce and Arts streams, with the Arts stream registering the highest pass percentage this year.
In the Science stream, 3,779 students appeared for the examination, of whom 3,124 passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 83.70 per cent. Last year, the pass percentage stood at 85.94 per cent, while it was 82.24 per cent in 2024.
Dechro M. Marak of Don Bosco College, Tura topped the Science stream with 472 marks. He secured letters in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Amos Chinminlun of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured the second position with 470 marks, along with letters in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Alternative English and Computer Science.Vishal Rai of Laban Bengalee Higher Secondary School stood third with 464 marks, securing letters in English, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Dauniwan Sajem of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured the fourth position with 461 marks and letters in English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Khasi.
In the Arts stream, 23,773 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 20,882 passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 88.63 per cent. The pass percentage in 2025 was 82.05 per cent, while it stood at 79.76 per cent in 2024.
Meghashree Roy of St Mary’s Higher Secondary School emerged as the Arts topper with 457 marks. She obtained letters in English, Education, Economics, Political Science and Alternative English.
Joziah Daman Laloo of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured the second position with 452 marks. He obtained letters in English, History, Sociology, Philosophy and Political Science.
Nakisakahuni M. Pakyntien, also of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, secured the third position with 446 marks, with letters in English, Political Science, Sociology, History and Philosophy.
In the Commerce stream, 2,483 students appeared for the examination, out of which 2,155 passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 87.49 per cent. The pass percentage in 2025 stood at 81.28 per cent, while it was 80.26 per cent in 2024.


Priya Ghosh of St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School topped the Commerce stream with 458 marks. She secured letters in English, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy and Alternative English.
Ankita Das of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured the second position with 453 marks, with letters in English, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Business Studies and Accountancy.
Rishika Debnath, also from St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, secured the third position with 452 marks. She obtained letters in English, Entrepreneurship, Information Practices, Business Studies, Accountancy and Economics.
