The experience of working on an international film is both ‘thrilling and terrifying’: Patani

Disha Patani is set to make her Hollywood debut with the supernatural action-thriller The Portal of Force, the first installment of the “Statiguards vs Holiguards Saga.”
She will play the character Jessica, a central role in a story built around a secret war between two ancient opposing factions.
The film is directed by Kevin Spacey, marking his return to directing after more than two decades.
It also features Tyrese Gibson and Dolph Lundgren in key roles. Patani described her first international project as both “thrilling and terrifying,” saying it offered her a wide scope to explore her craft.
She noted that working with a diverse and experienced international cast became a learning experience and helped her understand how storytelling goes beyond language and geography, emphasizing honesty on screen.
In the film, her character is introduced as the daughter of rival leaders from opposing sides, serving as a symbolic bridge between warring worlds and a key figure in determining the outcome of the conflict and humanity’s fate.
The trailer for the film was released recently, offering a first look at her role.
Patani will next be seen in Awarapan 2.
