Dhamaal 4, Welcome To The Jungle clash averted?
Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 and Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle will not face a clash at the box office. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Ajay Devgn has decided to shift the release date of Dahmaal 4 from July 3 to July 17 to avoid the clash with Welcome To The Jungle. In a post on X, Adarsh wrote, ‘BreakingNews… DHAMAAL 4 – WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE: AJAY DEVGN – AKSHAY KUMAR CLASH AVERTED… In a gesture of mutual respect and smart business planning, #AjayDevgn has decided to shift the release date of #Dhamaal4 to 17 July 2026 [earlier scheduled for 3 July 2026].’ An official announcement from the makers of both films regarding their release is still awaited. Jodie Comer to star in The Chain
Actor Jodie Comer, known for her role in Killing Eve, is set to feature in HBO’s limited series The Chain. The series is adapted from The Chain, a novel by Adrian McKinty, and will comprise eight episodes, according to the entertainment news outlet Variety. The Chain was published in 2019 and emerged as an international bestseller. The actor, whose latest work is 28 Years Later, will essay the role of Comer Rachel, who is described as ‘a suburban mom who must consider the unthinkable when her daughter is kidnapped’. (PTI)
Will Smith in action thriller Supermax
Hollywood star Will Smith is set to feature in Amazon MGM’s upcoming action thriller Supermax. The film is directed by David Gordon Green, known for Halloween and is described as a ‘propulsive and twist-laden action thriller’ about two FBI agents who are investigating a murder that’s taken place in the world’s most secure prison. Smith will essay the role of Rex. Besides Supermax, the actor is set to feature in Sugar Bandits, which revolves around an Iraq War veteran who joins an elite, vigilante squad determined to wipe out the drug trade in Boston. (PTI)
Spider-Man director to helm Magic
Hollywood filmmaker Sam Raimi has been hired by Lionsgate to direct Magic, a modern adaptation of author William Goldman’s novel. Raimi, best known as the director of three Spider-Man movies in the 2000s and creator of the Evil Dead franchise, will also produce the movie through the banner Raimi Productions, according to Deadline.
