Rukmini Vasanth has spoken out against the circulation of AI-generated images featuring her on social media, calling them fake and fabricated.
The actress said the manipulated pictures, which include misleading visuals of her in green swimwear, are a serious violation of privacy and deeply irresponsible.
In a statement shared on her X account, she urged fans and users not to share or engage with such content. She stressed that the images are entirely false and clarified that she has no association with them.
Rukmini Vasanth also confirmed that she and her team are initiating legal and cybercrime action against those responsible for creating and spreading the AI-generated content.
She said the matter is being taken seriously and warned that strict steps will be taken to address the misuse of her identity.
Her response highlights the growing concern over the misuse of artificial intelligence to generate fake images of public figures.
Several Indian celebrities, including Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Keerthy Suresh, have also been targeted by similar AI-generated content in recent times. (PTI)
