Actress Celina Jaitly has hit back at defamation threats issued by her estranged husband Peter Haag and father-in-law Wolfgang Haag, saying she will not be silenced in her pursuit of justice.
In an Instagram post, Celina revealed that both men had sent legal notices accusing her of defamation, to which she has responded through her lawyers.
Celina, who has filed for divorce on grounds of domestic violence and cruelty, said she has always supported joint custody and an amicable separation.
However, she alleged that despite court orders, she has been unable to maintain contact with her children and believes efforts are being made to diminish her role as their mother.
She said her public appeals were motivated by concerns over her children being removed from the marital residence and possibly taken outside the jurisdiction of Indian and Austrian courts without her knowledge.
The actress also claimed she faced intimidation and pressure while living in Austria. Maintaining that all evidence has been submitted to relevant authorities, Celina said she would continue seeking legal remedies and would not be intimidated into silence. (IANS)
