Madonna urges fans to put phones away at concerts

Singer-songwriter Madonna celebrated Confessions II, the sequel to her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. During the premiere of a visualizer for the album, set to debut on July 3, the Grammy-winning artist said the project focuses on human connection and meaningful music rather than mindless entertainment. Madonna encouraged people to be curious, take risks and put away their phones to connect with others. Reflecting on her appearance at Coachella in April, she noted that many audience members were focused on recording rather than enjoying the moment. Directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase, the 13-minute short film features the first six tracks from her upcoming 15th studio album and includes cameos from several celebrities, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss and Lourdes Leon.
