Tamim Iqbal becomes new BCB president

Dhaka, June 7: Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has taken charge of the country’s cricket administration after being elected the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), marking a significant new chapter in his association with the sport.
Tamim’s elevation to the top administrative position comes after a successful showing in the BCB elections, where he emerged as the highest vote-getter from the Category 2 club representatives’ segment. Following the completion of the election process, the newly elected board directors voted to appoint him as the 18th president in the history of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.Meanwhile, Fahim Sinha has been appointed as the vice-president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
